The museum was instituted as part of the centenary celebrations of the engineer-statesman Sir M. Visvesvaraya (1861-1962). The objective of the Museum is to popularize science through interactive exhibits.
Visvesvaraya Museum is not a 'museum' in its classical sense, because it has interactive exhibits unlike stationary models of a museum. It is more of a "Science Centre."

Each floor of this museum is dedicated to a scientific discipline such as The Engine Hall, The Electro-Technic Gallery, Fun Science, and Space Gallery.

Bannerghatta National Park

Bannerghatta Biological Park is located about 22 kilometers south from the city limits of Bangalore. It is one of the few places in the world where, wilderness is preserved so close to a big city.

A variety of mammals, reptiles, and birds of both exotic and Indian origin, around 1,414 animals across 73 known species are conserved here in captivity. In addition, there is a museum and an auditorium for the visitors’ education. Also, a Grand Safari and Boating are offered here.

Timings: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Bannerghatta National Park remains closed on Tuesdays.
